The jury returned unanimous Not Guilty verdicts on charges of Rape, Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Gross Sexual Imposition following a jury trial.
The prosecution alleged that our client sexually molested his girlfriend’s 15-year-old daughter. Our client maintained his innocence from the moment he was accused.
Prior to trial, we successfully argued that the complainant should not be permitted to testify from behind a screen, as doing so would violate our client’s constitutional right to confrontation. The judge agreed, ruling that the complainant would have to testify like any other witness.
After hearing all of the evidence, the jury found our client Not Guilty on all counts, fully clearing him of the allegations.
